1. Who this notice applies to

This Privacy Notice explains how Aleko processes information when you use the app. The controller for any personal data described here is the publisher identified on the relevant App Store or Google Play listing for Aleko.

2. What Aleko processes

Aleko may process the following categories of information:

A. Device location

Aleko uses your device’s foreground and, where you enable it, background location to detect nearby average-speed sections, track active sessions, and power related notifications.

B. Local app settings and state

Aleko stores settings and state locally on your device, such as selected vehicle category, theme, locale, onboarding flags, notification preferences, free-session usage, cached purchase entitlement state, and current session state.

C. Local section history

Aleko stores recent completed section summaries locally on your device so you can review them later. These summaries can include items such as section name, average speed, distance, elapsed time, limit, completion time, and vehicle category.

D. Purchase and entitlement data

If you use Premium, Aleko works with RevenueCat and the relevant app store to check product availability, purchase status, entitlement state, expiration dates, renewal status, and management links needed for restore and subscription management.

E. Network requests

Aleko may request updated section datasets and other app resources over the internet. As with most online services, the services receiving those requests may process standard technical information such as IP address, request metadata, and timestamps.

3. What Aleko does not do

Aleko does not require you to create an account.

Aleko does not store a continuous raw location history or route trace for your trips.

Aleko does not process or store your payment card details. Billing is handled by Apple or Google through their store systems.

4. Why this information is processed

Aleko processes information to:

• show maps and section information
• detect and track section sessions
• support background monitoring and notifications
• remember your settings and recent section history on your device
• show Premium plans, restore purchases, and reflect entitlement status
• download updated section data
• keep the app working, secure, and reliable

5. Legal bases

Where required by law, processing is based on one or more of the following:

• your consent, such as when you grant location or notification permissions
• performance of a contract, such as providing Premium features you purchase
• legitimate interests in operating, securing, and improving the app
• compliance with legal obligations where applicable

6. Third-party services

Aleko may rely on third-party services, including:

• Apple App Store or Google Play for billing, subscriptions, restore, and transaction handling
• RevenueCat for in-app purchase and entitlement management
• Google Maps or related map services used by the app
• hosting or CDN services used to deliver section data updates

Those providers may process information according to their own privacy notices and terms.

7. Retention

Most app data described above is stored locally on your device and remains there until it is replaced, cleared, or removed when you uninstall or clear app data.

Purchase and billing records may also be retained by Apple, Google, RevenueCat, or other service providers under their own retention policies.

8. Your choices

You can:

• deny or revoke location permissions in your device settings
• disable notifications in your device settings
• manage or cancel subscriptions through the App Store or Google Play
• delete locally stored app data by clearing app data or uninstalling the app

9. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights relating to access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, and complaint to a supervisory authority. Because much of Aleko’s information is stored only on your device, deleting the app or clearing app data may be the most direct way to remove it.

10. Changes to this notice

This Privacy Notice may be updated from time to time. The latest version available in the app applies from the stated update date.
